  22. Rachel Carson · 1962 · 378 pp

    Silent Spring

    Date read28 APR 2024★★★★★

A fascinating book that reads like a novel and so important that almost everyone should read it. It is about our environment and our influence on it. The books examines the use of pesticides and insecticides in various ways and how the results caused significant issues one way or another. However, the book weaves a theme of responsibility being core to our choices all the way through it. We should not act without well done examination of what may happen. The book illustrates systems thinking spectacularly and proves that with consideration we can find harmony with nature. We don’t have to kill everything to make things easier, just observe a bit more.
